The report “Selection of technologies related with Augmented, virtual and Mixed Reality” will be presented during the MEETING OF DIRECTORS-GENERAL FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (DGVT) organized by the Slovenian presidency of the council of the EU the next 4th of October. Our coordinator CETEM will join the session devoted to: DIGITALISATION OF VET PROVISION AND DIGITAL SKILLS IN VET AND WORK-BASED LEARNING.
There is scope for work-based learning in VET to make more use of digital learning that simulates practical experiences in training provision, for instance through immersive technologies like virtual and augmented reality. In addition, there is also potential to improve the cooperation and dialogue between VET schools and training companies through jointly used digital tools for learning and training, in particular between teachers and in-company trainers. However, it is important to find the optimal balance between real-world and virtual experiences, so that digital tools generate added value. The last proposals of ALLVIEW for the furniture and wood sector in this line will be presented with the aim of inspiring other industrial sectors.
