Under the framework of ALLVIEW 4 teachers and consultants from Sint Paulus (Campus VTI Waregem), WoodWize (Belgium) and Hout- en Meubileringscollege (The Netherlands) enjoyed 5 days of training at CETEM technological centre during the last week of October.
The training consisted of several theoretical and practical workshops about innovative topics related to the furniture manufacturing and habitat sector. In particular, the ALLVIEW team enjoyed different activities such as:
- Training about Ambient Assisted Living, where the students learned about how to implement electronics and Internet of things in the sector.
- Workshops about 3D printing and robotics: these technologies are supporting the personalization of the final product very demanded by the customers and that can support the automatization of new manufacturing processes.
- Latest projects of innovation performed by CETEM and CETEM’s laboratories.
Also, participants had the possibility to visit different furniture and IT enterprises from Yecla:
- Fama Sofás where the students could study the very modern Industry 4.0 plant.
- Tecninova where the students appreciated the more traditional manufacturing processes from furniture made in Yecla.
- Grupo SIM and their different IT and Robotics solutions which support the furniture industry.
The consortium had some time to enjoy the local gastronomy and wine of the region. Definitively, these activities have helped to the consortium to define better future mobility actions with vocational students from Belgium and the Netherlands and to strength the links between organization from different EU countries.
