Between May and October 2024, the coaching phase of the Allview project took place in Sicily, with a specific focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Organized by CEIPES, this phase involved various companies operating in the fashion and interior design sectors, with a total of 20 hours of coaching activities. The goal was to provide companies with tools and strategies to integrate CSR into their daily business practices.
This coaching phase represented an important growth opportunity for the participating companies, enabling them to interact with experts, exchange ideas, and develop personalized action plans. Among the companies involved, several design and architecture studios from Palermo and Monreale—specializing in bespoke projects and sustainable solutions—exemplified how CSR can contribute to making the Sicilian territory more inclusive and environmentally respectful.
The coaching journey began on May 22, 2024, with an introductory session on CSR. During this day, the companies delved into the strategic value of corporate social responsibility, discovering how a sustainable and responsible approach could enhance their corporate image and bring long-term benefits, such as improved operational efficiency and cost reduction.
To gauge the companies’ familiarity with CSR principles, a self-assessment questionnaire was administered, revealing varying levels of awareness among participants. Some studios had already begun using sustainable materials, while others were interested in implementing energy-efficient practices and combining sustainability and social responsibility with their technical and engineering design activities.
On June 24, a day dedicated to personalized coaching sessions was held. In the morning, each company had the opportunity to consult individually with the coaches, receiving specific advice on the challenges associated with CSR. One studio explored the use of sustainable materials for creating custom furniture, while another focused on optimizing energy efficiency through BIM technology. The engineering studio, on the other hand, worked on strategies to integrate sustainability into large-scale projects.
In the afternoon, the companies conducted an analysis of their internal policies, assessing how well these aligned with CSR principles and defining a sustainable strategy that could benefit their business, the environment, and the community.
The coaching phase concluded on October 15, 2024, with a presentation session of the CSR plans developed by each company. This moment of exchange allowed participants to share innovative solutions for addressing organizational and operational challenges related to CSR. In the afternoon, companies engaged in a reflection session, during which medium-term objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) were established to monitor progress in sustainability, social inclusion, and business ethics.
This coaching phase of the Allview project enabled Sicilian companies to understand the importance of CSR and integrate sustainable practices into their operational models. Beyond enhancing corporate image, adopting responsible business models allows companies to contribute to the social, economic, and environmental development of the territory. In a region like Sicily, where protecting natural and cultural heritage is essential, CSR represents a unique opportunity to foster community well-being and promote sustainable growth.
In conclusion, the Allview project has provided a solid foundation upon which Sicilian companies can continue to build a more responsible and sustainable future, contributing to positive change for Sicily and positioning themselves as leaders in the sustainable transformation of the territory.
